Derek & the Dominos: "layla & other assorted love songs"

On Tuesday February 20 at 6:30 The Rochmon Record Club will converge to listen, learn about and discuss Eric Clapton’s tour de force, Derek and the Dominos “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs”.

Clapton, fresh off Cream and Blind Faith, was searching for something new.  After touring with Delaney and Bonnie and Friends he formed Derek and the Dominos from the skeleton of that epic touring band.  Joined in the studio by Duane Allman, “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs” was not a huge seller or a critically well-received LP.  Time tells the story about all classic music and “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs” has stood the test of time.
