Due to our snowstorm last week, we have rescheduled the March Rochmon event for Tuesday March 21!!
On Tuesday March 21 at 6:30 The Rochmon Record Club will converge to listen, learn about and discuss the classic 1974 album “Sheer Heart Attack” by Queen at the Universal Preservation Hall at 25 Washington St. in Saratoga Springs.
Released in 1974 “Sheer Heart Attack” is the third studio album by Queen. “Sheer Heart Attack” is a pivotal album in Queen’s catalog and moved them forward from a sort of popular band to a worldwide sensation. On “Sheer Heart Attack” we hear Queen’s developing sound. Their concise song writing, together with superb musicianship and, to no small effect, their mastery of the recording studio created a wonderfully listenable album which still stands up as one of Queen’s best records.
The event begins at 7pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, the songs and the stories that made this iconic album. Conversation and discussion will follow.
Light refreshments will be available. This event is free, donations are encouraged. All donations go to the restoration fund of the Universal Preservation Hall. For questions please call or text 518-792-2711.
